Jessica Velasquez is the founder of Naomi's Grace and a passionate advocate for water safety and drowning prevention across the Houston area. A mother of five — one bonus child, three here with her, and one forever in her heart — Jessica knows both the profound joy of motherhood and its most devastating loss. After experiencing the unimaginable grief of losing her daughter Naomi, she channeled that pain into purpose, building an organization dedicated to ensuring no other family faces the same tragedy.
With a background in Human Resources, a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Sam Houston State University, and a Master's of Education in Counseling from the University of Houston, Jessica brings a unique combination of people-centered expertise and deep personal experience to her work. Her HR career has sharpened her ability to build strong teams, navigate complex systems, and lead with empathy — skills that directly shape how Naomi's Grace operates and grows.
Jessica's mission is rooted in the belief that every child deserves access to water safety education, and every family deserves the tools and resources to protect the ones they love. Whether she's connecting families to swim lesson scholarships, sharing Naomi's story, or building partnerships across the community, her goal has always been the same — to turn heartbreak into hope, and awareness into action.
